Max Steel Movie

End of 2009, Paramount and Mattel announced that a Max Steel movie would be developed. For those of you who don't know Max Steel, he's a character introduced by Mattel in the U.S. in 1999 as an action figure, and soon after in an animated series that ran from 2000-2002. Max Steel is especially popular in Latin America where it's the No. 1 action figure.

Here's the opening of the original Max Steel animated series:

MAX STEEL

Plot:
"A 19-year-old extreme-sports athlete has been accidentally exposed to the unleashed power of nanotechological machines, which became part of him and gave him increased strength, near-invulnerability and the ability to change his appearance. The young man now fights the enemies of peace as a super-powered secret agent."

Actor Taylor Lautner, who rose to fame with the Twilight Saga once signed up for the lead role. Unfortunately he has since left the project because he prefers to focus on the movie Stretch Armstrong. A new actor for the lead role has yet to be announced.

Let's hope that the movie Max Steel will still get released in a not too distant future. And by the way, what other actor could play the role of the superhero Max Steel?
:)
